FAITH STATEMENT

MU subscribes to the following Faith Statement:

  1. We affirm that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, perfectly preserved in its original manuscripts and sufficient to guide faith and practice. God is the source of all truth, and all academic pursuits are enriched by a reverence for divine wisdom.
  2. We believe in one eternal God, Creator of heaven and earth, who exists in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit- one in essence, power, and glory.
  3. We believe that all people are created in the image of God with inherent dignity, purpose, and value—regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or belief.
  4. We believe that humanity, though created good, fell into sin through disobedience and is in need of redemption. We believe that salvation is entirely by the grace of God and is a gift received through faith alone in Jesus Christ.
  5. Christ’s life is the model for leadership, calling us to serve others with humility, integrity, and compassion and to seek justice and mercy in all our dealings.
  6. Education is a form of stewardship, equipping students to develop their God-given talents and resources for the common good, moral leadership, and global service.
  7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ as the first fruits of those who have died, the return of Jesus Christ, and the final judgment. The redeemed will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God, and the unredeemed will face eternal separation.
